Included in the PRU number 6.2, the university dorm is located on the square right across from the Certosa Train Station in Milan. The architectural design consists a two tower buildings (ten-story each), connected with a suspended footbridge. On the ground floor are placed stores related to the dorm, while the first floor hosts some rooms owned by the Polytechnic of Milan, such as internet rooms and convention rooms. This floor is where the two towers are connected by the suspended footbridge. In the middle space there are a restaurant-pub and some other rooms for the students.
The project plans 5 different typologies of room, such as the duplex on the 8th floor (for visiting professors). Taking in consideration the entire site a three floor underground parking has been added to the project (tot. 145 cars).
